They denied me restorative care on a root canal they did wrong, that caused me a severe absess. They denied my insurance, when my insurance company stated to me that they were clients in their network. I said I was going to file a malpractice claim. They said ok. Don't go here they are dangerous!

Refused to return my calls and emails to provide copies of my X-rays. Even my dentist reached out and was not able to get a report.

I had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience at Westside Endodontics. Before my appointment, I spoke with Hanai, the office manager, who clearly told me I could bring a CT scan from my general dentist and that if their own scan was required, the $350 out-of-pocket fee could be waived. Based on that information, I scheduled the appointment. However, when I arrived, I was told they do not accept outside scans and that the $350 fee would be required. Hanai initially denied ever saying that, until I showed her my call log and repeated the conversation verbatim — at which point she admitted she had, in fact, told me those things. Still, she insisted that Dr. Loo would not honor it and repeatedly said “there’s nothing I can do.” As a healthcare professional myself, I know that when a practice gives incorrect information, the ethical response is to make it right. That did not happen here. There was no accountability, no effort to resolve the issue, and frankly, no respect for my time or experience. I scheduled a root canal with this office for 5/8/2025. On 5/7 the day before the procedure, I was called by the office and informed that the $350 Cone Beam CT scan was approved to be covered at 50% off. I was very happy to hear this and paid my half at the time of the procedure. On 5/20 I received a text message from the dentist office informing me that the CT scan claim was denied by my insurance Anthem Blue Cross and I am being billed for it. I called Anthem a few times and am filing an appeal for the denial. Today I stopped by Westside Endo to get proof of the approval. The office denied that they received oral confirmation, even though they told me on 5/7 that they did, and would not provide anything in writing. They said it was all done on Anthem's portal and they couldn't provide anything to help my appeal. When I got home later I called and asked again for a printout of the portal. The front desk person said she would call me back, which she did and now claims that they indeed received a verbal conformation from the insurance company. The entire staff at this office was friendly and informative and made me feel comfortable. The dentist did a wonderful job explaining every step of my procedure as well as the after care and follow up. He made sure my procedure was pain free and checked on me often. I had a great experience and would highly recommend them to anyone that needs dental work.
